Kinsale Beaches

The South of Ireland, and in particular Cork and Kerry, is famous for its unspoiled sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. So if you visit our B&B you cannot leave without first experiencing the breathtaking beaches in our area. 

On a sunny day, there is nothing better than just hitting the beach. Take a lazy stroll along the beach or experience an adrenaline rush participating the many water sports available. There are many water sports on offer, including surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, body boarding, canoeing, and many more and you will find many surf schools and outdoor centres around the area offering lessons and/or equipment for rent.

There are numerous unspoilt sandy beaches, coves and harbours near Insiara B&B which are a must to be explored. Some of the nearby beaches are up to 13km long. Nearly all of the beaches around Insiara B&B are Blue Flag beaches. A Blue Flag beach is a beach which has been recognised for its outstanding cleanliness. Garrettstown and Garrylucas are two of the most popular Blue Flag beaches located close to Insiara B&B; Garretstown Beach, West Cork lies near the Old Head of Kinsale and a short drive from Kinsale town and Ballinspittle village, much favoured for surfing.  Garrylucas Beach, West Cork, as Garretstown Beach is a short drive from Kinsale and is good for wind and kite surfing. Further west is Inchadonney beach which is also a blue Flag beech;  here you can also visit the natural thermal spa in the Inchadonney spa hotel.

Other blue flag beaches near our B&B include: Barleycove; Owenahincha; The Warren; Tragumna; and Bantry.
